The Savill Garden by Road

The Savill Garden (postcode TW20 0UU) is a mile from Englefield Green and 4 miles from Windsor Castle. Approach via the A30 from the south and west, and by the A308 from the east and north. It is also close to the M25 (J13), M3 and M4.

It has been brought to our attention that some Satellite Navigation devices have misinformed visitors of the appropriate route to The Savill Garden, and as such should not be relied on to direct you to our car park. 

The Savill Garden car park is ONLY accessible from Wick Road, and visitors from all directions should follow the brown tourist signs saying 'The Royal Landscape', 'The Savill Garden' or depicting a flower symbol . (There is no access to the Savill Garden car park from within Windsor Great Park, to which vehicle access is restricted.)

The Valley Gardens

The best starting point for a visit to the Valley Gardens is to come to the visitor centre at The Savill Garden (see above). From here you can pick up a guide leaflet and detailed directions to reach The Valley Gardens.

Virginia Water Lake

Virginia Water lake (postcode GU25 4QF) is 2 miles from Englefield Green and  6 miles from Windsor town centre. Virginia Water car park is located on the A30, close to the M25 (J13).

 

Rail

The nearest rail stations are located at Egham, Windsor and Virginia Water.

By bicycle
The National Cycle Route 4 passes through Windsor Great Park, and there is an extensive network of roads and tracks along which cycling is permitted.

International links
The Savill Garden is less than 10 miles from Heathrow airport and an hour away from Gatwick via the M23 and M25.
