The closing date for The Royal Landscape Photography Competition 2008 entries is 4 July. Winners will be notified by post in August and look out for the exhibition of winning photographs in The Savill Building in autumn. The competition is open to both amateur and professional photographers and will be judged under two categories: Enthusiast - Adults aged 17+ Young Photographers - Up to 16 years old This year each category has a theme: Enthusiast - 'Architecture in nature' Young Photographer - 'Birds, bees and trees' The theme can be interpreted in many ways and should capture any aspect of The Royal Landscape and the surrounding area either broadly or in detail. PrizesEnthusiast 1st Prize - Luxury gift hamper from The Savill Garden shop (£100 value) 2nd Prize - One year Friends of The Savill Garden double membership (£50 value) 3rd Prize - £25 voucher for The Savill Garden shop Young Photographer 1st Prize - Nature and conservation hamper from The Savill Garden shop (£75 value) 2nd Prize - £40 voucher for The Savill Garden Shop 3rd Prize - £25 voucher for The Savill Garden Shop Plus, all winning photographs will be displayed in The Savill Building as part of an exhibition in autumn this year. Self Permits Permits are required for commercial photography in The Royal Landscape therefore, for this competition, we are issuing each entrant with a self permit. Simply fill in the self permit, detach and then keep on you at all times while photographing in The Royal Landscape and surrounding area. Submitting your photograph/s Photographs cannot be accepted without a submission form. You can submit up to 4 photographs within your category but do not need separate submission forms for each, simply ensure that all entries are clearly shown on the form.
