Saturday 31 May - Sunday 6 July in The Savill GardenWe are delighted to welcome back the Surrey Sculpture Society for 2008. The exhibition will be open from Saturday 31 May to Sunday 6 July inclusive with the works displayed in the beautiful surrounds of the Savill Garden and majestic Savill Building. The Savill Garden provides a fantastic backdrop for the sculptures. Not only does it have a number of garden ‘compartments’ providing different atmospheres and levels of light, but also have spectacular flowers, majestic trees, grassy vistas, undulating paths and ponds. The sculptures are numbered and visitors can follow a map around the Garden to ensure that they see everything. There will be over 60 outdoor sculptures, including Velo-ciraptor, Lizard, Ostrich, Otter Pair, Nile Goddess, Flamenco Dancer and Pond Man displayed in the Garden. Plus, in the award-winning Savill Building, visitors will be able to view over 30 indoor sculptures such as Cut Apple, Doc Marten Boot and Spanish Conquistador. Materials used include bronze, metal and ceramics and every piece, which is either unique or a limited edition, is for sale.
